Eagle Summer is more than a summer program, it's a launchpad. Participants have the opportunity to enroll in AU's High School Summer Scholars program and earn one real, transferable college credit hour while they're here.

1 Credit Hour

Earn one official American University credit hour, taught by AU faculty and recorded on an AU transcript.

Online & Flexible

The credit course is completed online in a self-paced, asynchronous format and designed to fit around your Eagle Summer schedule.

AU Canvas Platform

All coursework is delivered through AU's Canvas learning platform, giving you a real college academic experience.

Transferable Credit

Credit may be transferred to many colleges and universities. Students are encouraged to verify transfer policies with their target school.

Eligibility

Open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA. International students with equivalent grades are also welcome.

Approximately 50% off AU's standard undergraduate per-credit cost.
